The story ‘Hunting with a Camera’ by F.W. Champion is his account of shooting a tigress through the camera lens and ‘The Tiger and the Terrier’ by Brig. General R.G. Burton comes from a military cantonment are fascinating and exhilarating.
The stories are delightful and entertaining and the narrations are full of adventure and nail-biting situations. It’s not every day that we can go into the jungle and experience the call of the birds, warning cries of the monkeys and sudden stillness that could stop the running of blood. He has also received the Padma Shri (1999), The Padma Bhushan (2014) and two awards from Sahitya Akademi – one for his short stories and another for his writings for children. In 2012, the Delhi government gave him its Lifetime Achievement Award.
