We all may have heard about workplace harassment stories. Even laws and anti-harassment company policies are insufficient to prevent these situations on workplace and provide no refuge to women employees. This book brings a story inspired by real life events braided into fiction for the readers.
Rinita Bose lost her father at an early age and her mother after few years. She has to stand alone and face the world outside her small village Phoolbari, near Kolkata. She has an unmatched beauty which makes any man kneel down to her. The big city gives her wings to fly but at a cost. She falls prey in the hands of demons who eye on her to warm their bed. She witnessed harsh realities and darkness of life and men who eye on women to satisfy lustful desires, she finds it hard to believe on a man. She earns money, fame, adulation and success. But, will she ever find love?
The story is of a girl with unmatched aspirations and extraordinary beauty. The author beautifully portraits the character of Rinita Bose. She is not only the protagonist of the story but a woman she carries in her with dignity, beauty, and ambition. The story is sectioned into three parts can be seen as three phases of Rinita Bose which shaped or changed her life and made or mold her into she could never think of.
The story is gripping and fast-paced and surprises you. Expect the unexpected because you do not know what the author platter in front of you next. The book has some mature content and after reading the book and looking at the theme of the story I find that was needed. It is not up to everyone to do justice with a sensitive topic as this and author Chirajit certainly did justice in presenting the story of a girl to his readers.
